Selection principle of globe valve

Aug 11, 2022Leave a message

When choosing a valve for high pressure and high temperature applications, such as thermal power plants, nuclear power plants, and petrochemical systems, it is recommended to opt for a globe valve. Globe valves are specifically designed to handle the demands of these environments, ensuring efficient operations and a reliable pipeline system. Therefore, it is crucial to consider the specific requirements of the pipeline or device and select a suitable valve accordingly. The valve selection process plays a vital role in maintaining the integrity and efficiency of high temperature and high-pressure systems.

When the pressure loss is not a concern, there are pipelines that do not have strict requirements for convection resistance. In such cases, the focus may not be on minimizing pressure loss but rather on other factors like efficient flow or cost-effective design. These pipelines may have different considerations and specifications compared to those where pressure loss is a critical factor.

When it comes to small valves, there are several options available. These include the needle valve, instrument valve, sampling valve, and pressure gauge valve. Each of these serves a specific purpose and is ideal for certain applications. Whether you need precise flow control or accurate pressure readings, there is a valve that can meet your needs. By carefully selecting the right valve for your application, you can ensure that your system operates smoothly and efficiently.

The adjustment accuracy requirements are not high for flow or pressure adjustment, especially when dealing with pipelines of relatively small diameters. Generally, pipelines with a nominal diameter of ≤50mm should be chosen for this purpose.

When it comes to synthetic industrial production in the small and large fertilizers sector, it is recommended to consider high pressure angle globe valves or high pressure angle throttle valves with nominal pressures of PN160 and 16MPa, or PN320 and 32MPa. These valves are suitable for use in this specific application and can effectively handle the pressure requirements.

When it comes to the desiliconization workshop and the pipelines that are prone to coking during the production of alumina using the Bayer method, there are a couple of valve options available. One can go for a direct-flow globe valve or a direct-flow throttle valve, each with a separate valve body, a removable valve seat, and a cemented carbide sealing pair. These choices make it easy to maintain optimal performance and avoid any potential issues that could arise during production.

When it comes to water supply and heating projects in urban construction, it's important to choose the right valves. For pipes with a nominal passage size of less than 150mm, stop valves, balance valves, or plunger valves are all viable options. These valves are designed to regulate and control the flow of water and heat, ensuring that your system operates smoothly and efficiently. Whether you're working on a large-scale construction project or making upgrades to an existing system, choosing the right valves is crucial to success. So, be sure to consult with a knowledgeable expert to determine which type of valve is best for your specific needs.
