The gate valve acts as a gate, opening and closing to regulate fluid flow. It moves in a direction perpendicular to the direction of fluid and is designed for full opening or closing only. It cannot be adjusted or throttled. The valve's seal is created by the contact between the gate plate and valve seat. Metal materials such as 1Cr13, STL6, and stainless steel are commonly used as surfacing substances to increase wear resistance. There are two types of gates: rigid and elastic gates. Based on the type of gate, the gate valve can be categorized as a rigid gate valve or elastic gate valve.
